Fashions dazzle on the Oscars red carpet

They saved the best for last. The Oscars, closing out awards season, saw fierce, fabulous fashion and few missteps.

For an 11-year-old, Expendables star Amara Miller did a great job playing dress-up, in an ivory Valentino Couture with gossamer veiling at the sleeves and décolletage that her “wonderful stylist pulled.''

Penelope Ann Miller was proactive when deciding what to wear. The Artist actress told E!'s Ryan Seacrest she helped design her dress, a custom Badgley Mischka.Flashing bright green contact lenses and chloehandbags . The actress, who costars in the multi-nominated silent black and white film, wanted to pay homage to the Golden Age of Hollywood,This was a fraction of diorhandbags in Beverly Hills. the era in which the movie was set.Offering a huge selection of miumiureplicahandbags online store are selling great quality replica watches. The gown spoke volumes, with intricate, sophisticated beads, a feminine curve and V-cross in the front. Miller had seen something similar in a retro fashion book and showed it to the designers for inspiration.

Also from The Artist,Get great deals for coachhandbags on eBay! Missi Pyle, who turned heads in a sexy turquoise hip hugger, which got points for being ecofriendly. Pyle was wearing the winner of the Red Carpet Green Contest, founded by James Cameron's wife Suzy Amis. Pyle told E!'s Giuliana Rancic that the sustainable creation was made with an organic, cruelty-free silk (who knew silkworms suffered?), had recycled zippers and was pleated by hand. The designer is Valentina Delfino, a Venezuelan born student at Miami International University of Art & Design.

Milla Jovovich's modeling experience came in handy at her first time at the Oscars. The Resident Evil star strutted the red carpet in a silver sequinned one shouldered Elie Saab with exquisite detailing.

Also in Elie Saab, The Artist's Berenice Bejo, in a lovely mint vintage-style gown.

B ridesmaids abounded: Ellie Kemper's rust Armani Prive went with her hair; Melissa McCarthy also went with brown, a figure friendly frock bedecked with crystals. Her shoes and bag were by her pal, designer Brian Atwood. The two grew up together in suburban Illinois. Also in the plus-size winners' circle: The Help's Octavia Spencer Tadashi Shoji was classic and clean.

The color black can be boring and predictable; Bridesmaids castmate Rose Byrne was anything but in a glittery glam Vivienne Westwood. The Help nominee Jessica Chastain could have used a little fashion assistance in a too-tight gold and black embroidered Alexander Mcqueen. The bustier dress looked like a barmaid's outfit in a Wild West saloon. Costar Viola Davis put the lime in sublime in a cleavage-baring Vera Wang. Emma Stone may have wanted to rethink that big bow on her red Giambattista Valli.

George Clooney's eye candy Stacy Keibler was an Amazonian vision in a coppery Marchesa with a flower at the hip. Wondered if George asked her to wear flats. Also glistening like a goddess: Meryl Streep, in Lanvin.

What's a red carpet without a little matchy matchy . Michelle Williams, in Louis Vuitton, channeled a prim version the sex icon she played in My Week with Marilyn in a hue she called “coral.''

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Rooney Mara, shocked style watchers by donning white, she will have to go to confession if she accepts shoppingbagfactory . the opposite of what she always, always wears. Her Givenchy had a strange shape at the chest and resembled a slip. Where was the jewelry?
